NCTSA Mission Statement:

"We, the students of the North County Technology and Science Academy, are committed to our education. Every day we walk though these doors we are working towards earning our high school diploma with the goal of college in mind. For those of you who have finished typing and submitted your essays, nice work! Today you get to peruse the newspaper. Go ahead and spend about 20 minutes looking at the different headings and articles in each. Then I would like you to:



  • Select an article you would like to summarize
  • Write me a one paragraph summary (in a Word Doc) of the article including
    • The title, author, and when the article was written
    • Include the 5 W's and and H: Who, What, Where, When, Why (if applicable) and How
    • A photo from the article if there is one
