Haiku Launch Day!!

Today is the Day!!

Yes, today is the day that you will enroll in your new, online-blended Haiku courses and begin checking things out.

Today is the day that your technology learning curve takes off. At times it will be rewarding, other times frustrating, but guaranteed that when you complete your work in this classroom you will be skilled and confident in your ability to use a wide variety of technological tools.

Here's how we will complete open enrollment:


  • Class A (older) and class B (younger) have different links for their Haiku courses which are posted below
  • As you follow each of your class' links (there will be three courses per class), you will use the Invitation Code I have written on the Board

Creating a Poster

Today you will be bringing our 21st century learning skills to life with Lucidpress, an online poster maker. Just as with Quizlet, when you sign up for an account you can automatically sign in with the Google link, so look for it!

I would like you to incorporate the following things into your poster:


Components
  • Title (make it bold and visible)
  • A related image (you can upload with Google)
  • A related quote from the text
  • A citation to the text

Formatting
  • Landscape your document (File: Page Setup)
  • Keep it clean; make sure your message is not lost in your creativity!
  • Utilize specialized formatting options for your title and image: check out shadows, outlines, frames, etc.
  • Fill your poster and frame it

Saving/Sharing
Once you have checked all of your components and formatting:
  • Download as a JPEG (your name and trait, for example "Ms. Reina Collaboration")
  • Add to your Google Drive
  • Share with me (treina@sdjccs.net)

  • Choose a Language: Quick Switch to English for the left and right column: terms and answers
  • Based on your study guide, add questions in left column and answers on right
  • Select: "Create Set"
